The ITU Cekirdek #DualUse & Defense Technologies Program is shaping the future through dual-use technologies! Technologies developed at the intersection of civilian industries and the defense, aerospace, and space ecosystems—particularly in areas such as advanced engineering, autonomous systems, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, sensor technologies, materials science, space technologies, and aviation solutions—have strong dual-use potential and are paving the way for high-value business models with global impact. Conducted in collaboration with InnotalentPlus, the ITU Cekirdek Dual-Use Acceleration Program and the InnotalentPlus brand, Dual-Use Studio Istanbul, provide a comprehensive support model that evaluates the adaptability of existing technologies for both civilian and defense applications while offering tailored acceleration and incubation processes for startups. Throughout the program, teams receive support in critical areas including PoC development, corporate–startup collaborations, investor relations, regulatory and compliance strategies, and go-to-market planning. Accepted teams benefit from ITU ARI Teknokent’s entrepreneurial infrastructure and academic and industry stakeholder network, participate in the ITU Cekirdek acceleration journey, and gain the opportunity to meet investors and industry representatives on the Big Bang stage at the end of the year.
